Job Description
- Architectural Design Engineer
- PT Hyundai Engineering SSA (KT&G Project)
Responsibilities:
- Review all construction design documents, identifying discrepancies in each discipline’s design and ensuring that shop drawings are prepared based on the approved construction design.
- Review and report any regulatory issues found in the approved construction design.
- Produce shop drawings and review other disciplines’s shop drawing, comments if any to be reported.
- Ensuring consistency and accuracy in construction design and shop drawings by collaborating with suppliers, contractors, and consultants.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFI) and Requests for Approval (RFA) based on the review of construction drawings and produced shop drawings.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure design implementation aligns with approved shop drawing, specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborated with the team to keep construction schedule.
- Provide written feedback after reviewing construction design and supplier proposals, if any.
- Experience in reviewing contractor project quality plans, inspection, test plans, method statements, work procedures and checklists is a plus.
- A good sense of design document control ability is also a plus.
- Ensure all aspects related to project quality assurance are maintained.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry or design consulting, with a focus on project design coordination management.
- Proficiency in CAD drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other design tools (Sketchup etc).
- Strong understanding of architectural principles, construction details and local building codes.
- Must have experience in coordinating work between Architecture, Interior, Structure, MEP, HVAC, Civil, and Landscape designs etc.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leader skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and excellence.
- Experience in preparing and reviewing shop drawings as a member of a General Contractor’s design management team is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
