Job Description
Basic Function:
- Supervision of reclamation activities in highland area, to ensure work assignments completion is in efficient, effective and timely manners.
Job Responsibility:
- Plan, implement and control nursery, planting, maintenance and/or other reclamation programs in the Grasberg area.
- Supervise hydroseeding operations and maintenance of hydroseeding machine to support highland reclamation activities.
- Collate and organize reclamation data into usable formats for superior to draw conclusions.
- Provide and submit periodical reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually), which can be used superior to decision making.
- Maintain work discipline and performance standards for crews and contractors.
- Follow Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) policies and ensures that subordinates and contractors follow all SHE policies.
- Liaise with other section and/or department to ensure adequate material supplies and required equipment is available to complete reclamation projects.
- Develop subordinates by providing hands-on guidance and direction on nursery and planting techniques.
- Complete other tasks as instructed by management, include rotate with the other Reclamation Foreman as required to enhance supervision.

Controlling the work is completed on time, with expected results:
Be familiar with plans and where the tasks fit into the plans by discussion with supervisor. Follow the plans by assigning resources and scheduling activities and making changes to the schedules as required.
°Motivate subordinates or contractors to complete the tasks:
Set targets, goals and challenges for each subordinate. Monitor, control and measure with documentation of their efforts and results for both quantity and quality. Reward achievement towards the goals with praise. Let those who fall short of required goals know that more effort is required.
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (S1) Agriculture/ Forestry/Biology with 2-5 years of experience in environmental services, preferably in reclamation/rehabilitation projects.
Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):
- Proficiency in English both speaking and writing
- Supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability motivates and discipline subordinates.
- Ability write comprehensive report.
- Knowledge of planting or rehabilitation techniques and practices.
- Other standard required competencies.
