Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Store Operations:
- Oversee daily operations of the retail shop, ensuring smooth functionality and exceptional service.
- Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing in line with resort standards.
- Manage store opening and closing procedures.
Customer Service:
- Provide an outstanding shopping experience to guests by maintaining high service standards.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure availability of products.
- Track and manage stock, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and quality control.
- Conduct regular audits to monitor stock levels and product conditions.
Sales and Profitability:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, attract more customers, and optimize profitability.
- Analyze sales data, prepare regular performance reports, and suggest ways to improve sales and store performance.
- Collaborate with marketing and other departments to promote the shop and integrate retail offerings with resort activities.
Staff Management:
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate shop staff.
- Provide continuous coaching, motivation, and feedback to ensure team effectiveness.
- Organize staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage during busy periods.
Financial Management:
- Oversee daily cash handling procedures, including reconciliation and reporting.
- Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.
Vendor Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to maximize profitability.
- Monitor product trends and adjust purchasing strategies as needed.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the retail environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store.
Promotions and Events:
- Coordinate in-store promotions, sales events, and special offers to drive customer engagement.
- Work closely with the resort’s event management team to align the shop with broader resort activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Proven ability to manage inventory, analyze sales data, and control costs.
- Proficiency in retail management software (e.g., POS systems) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
