Main Accountabilities:
Stakeholder Identification and Engagement:
Identify and prioritize key stakeholders relevant to the company’s operations and objectives. Develop strategies for engaging with stakeholders through various channels, including meetings, workshops, and community events.
Communication and Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders through regular communication and engagement. Act as a liaison between the company and external stakeholders to facilitate dialogue, address concerns, and build mutual trust and understanding.
Conflict Resolution:
Serve as a mediator in resolving conflicts and addressing disputes between the company and stakeholders. Employ strong management and resolution skills to navigate disagreements and find mutually acceptable solutions.
Collaboration and Partnership Development:
Identify opportunities for collaboration and partnership with stakeholders to advance shared goals and objectives. Cultivate strategic alliances and coalitions to leverage resources, expertise, and support for company initiatives.
Stakeholder Feedback and Analysis:
Gather feedback and insights from stakeholders to inform decision-making and strategy development. Analyze stakeholder perspectives, concerns, and priorities to identify opportunities for improvement and address emerging issues.
Training and Capacity Building:
Provide training and support to internal teams on effective stakeholder engagement practices. Build internal capacity to understand stakeholder needs and expectations, and integrate stakeholder feedback into decision-making processes.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, International Relations, or a related field.
- More than 5 years in experience dealing with extractive industry external/ community
- relations or similar.
- Proven experience in stakeholder relations, public affairs, community engagement, or
- related roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and
- trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution techniques and problem-solving.
- Sound understanding of relevant local and national laws, regulations, and policies.
