Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the daily operations of our accounting department. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in financial reporting, compliance with both IFRS and local standards, and a strong leadership background. This role requires an individual with significant experience, ideally with a foundation in a Big Four firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring efficient workflows and accurate reporting.
- Handle month-end, quarterly, and yearly financial closings, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards (PSAK).
- Review journal entries for all transactions to identify areas for improvement and enhance internal controls.
- Coordinate with all departments to ensure compliance, accuracy, and completeness of accounting records.
- Supervise general ledger reconciliation, balance sheet reporting, and proactively address financial risks.
- Act as the primary contact for both external and internal auditors, ensuring clear and effective communication.
- Lead the coordination and successful completion of annual audits, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop and implement robust accounting methods, policies, and principles to ensure a solid financial foundation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
- Regularly monitor any updates or revisions to Indonesia’s Accounting Standard (PSAK), ensuring compliance.
- Support the Inventory and Fixed Asset departments in daily operations, contributing to a smooth financial process.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputable university with a strong GPA.
- Over 10 years of accounting experience, including at least 4 years of experience in a Big Four accounting firm.
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, PSAK, and financial reporting standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise, mentor, and lead an accounting team.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with various departments.
- Proven experience in managing external and internal audits.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- English proficiency is a must
