Job Description
- Oversee and participate in the delivery of high-quality veterinary care, including emergency procedures and routine animal management.
- Provide comprehensive support to veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures, such as preparing animals, administering anesthesia, and managing post-operative care.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical records for all animals treated.
- Assist in the onboarding and training of veterinary paraprofessionals, including leading technical training and coordinating development programs.
- Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the handling, storage, and disposal of veterinary products and medications. Manage inventory to minimize discrepancies.
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all laboratory and clinical equipment, including calibration and quality control.
- Manage the disposal of clinical waste in compliance with health regulations.
- Act as the primary contact for clients, providing guidance on pet health and preventive care, and ensuring excellent customer service.
- Monitor the condition of animals under treatment and provide necessary medical interventions as directed by the veterinarian.
- Demonstrate flexibility by working occasional overtime to meet the needs of the clinic and ensure continuous patient care.
- Adapt to evolving practice needs and perform any other duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
- • At least Diploma in Animal Health or equivalent
- • Minimum 3 years of full-time working experience in companion animal practice
- • Certificate in Veterinary Nursing is an advantage
- • Effective communication skills
- • Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential information
- • Love, patience, and compassion for animals
- • Ability to handle and interact with animals
- • Strong organizational skills

- • Able to work on weekends and public holidays
