- Oversee and manage the inventory of equipment, spare parts, tools, and consumables needed for mining operations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of stock levels, ensuring the availability of essential materials while minimizing overstock.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Generate reports on inventory status, stock levels, usage rates, and any discrepancies.
- Monitor and control inventory costs by ensuring that purchasing is aligned with budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular safety checks and inspections of storage areas and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory control, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in the mining or heavy industry.
- Knowledge of mining equipment and material management is an advantage.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
