- Load coal and overburden into haul trucks or conveyors as per the required quantities.
- Move materials to designated locations, ensuring the material is handled with care to minimize losses.
- Operate the excavator with efficiency, ensuring optimal fuel consumption and minimal downtime.
- Perform routine pre-start inspections on excavators and related equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Follow all safety protocols and standards in line with mining regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating excavators, preferably in a coal mining or similar heavy industry.
- Knowledge of coal mining processes, safety procedures, and mining equipment maintenance.
- Certification for operating heavy equipment (e.g., excavators) from an accredited training program.
- Understanding of mining safety regulations and the importance of PPE and hazard prevention.
