- Assist in creating detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Identify potential cost risks and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project expenditures against the approved budget.
- Analyze variances between actual costs and budgeted amounts.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular cost reports for project stakeholders, including cost performance indices and earned value analysis.
- Provide timely updates on project budget status.
- Review and evaluate change orders for their impact on project costs.
- Negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to minimize the financial impact of changes.
- Provide cost analysis and recommendations for procurement decisions.
- Assist in the selection of vendors and subcontractors.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cost control or a similar role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis.
