Key Responsibilities:

1. Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all sections.
  • Monitor kitchen operations to ensure food quality, hygiene, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with chefs to ensure timely food preparation while maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.

2. Customer Service:

  • Foster a welcoming and pleasant dining experience by training staff to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback on platforms like Google, Yelp, and social media.
  • Implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and retention.

3. Team Leadership & Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and manage all restaurant staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders.
  • Schedule shifts and assign tasks to ensure efficient staff coverage during peak hours.
  • Provide ongoing training and development for team members to ensure high performance and job satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, manage disciplinary actions, and resolve conflicts.

4. Financial Management:

  • Manage the restaurant’s budget, including labor costs, inventory, and other expenses.
  • Track sales performance and implement initiatives to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting, including daily sales reports, cash handling, and bank deposits.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to manage inventory and negotiate contracts.

5. Marketing & Promotions:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and events.
  • Identify opportunities for local partnerships and community engagement to drive traffic to the restaurant.
  • Maintain an active social media presence for the restaurant to attract new customers and build brand loyalty.

6. Facility Management:

  • Ensure that the restaurant environment is clean, safe, and in excellent condition.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any repairs or equipment issues in a timely manner.
  • Monitor stock levels of essential supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar leadership role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including front of house, kitchen, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the food industry.
  • Experience with restaurant management software (POS systems, inventory management).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • A passion for food, customer service, and hospitality.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience working in a Japanese or Asian cuisine restaurant.
  • Familiarity with Abura Soba or similar noodle dishes.
