Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Ramen Manager to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine, strong leadership skills, and the ability to speak English or Japanese. This role offers a unique opportunity to travel and undergo extensive training in Japan to master authentic ramen-making techniques and management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage kitchen operations, ensuring the preparation and presentation of high-quality ramen and other Japanese dishes.
- Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff to ensure consistency in food preparation and adherence to recipes.
- Oversee stock management, including ordering ingredients and maintaining inventory levels.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are followed in compliance with local health regulations.
- Collaborate with the front-of-house team to maintain excellent customer service and address any issues.
- Innovate and implement new menu items or seasonal offerings in line with authentic Japanese ramen trends.
- Manage kitchen budgets, control food costs, and minimize waste.
- Assist in hiring and training new kitchen staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a chef, with a strong background in ramen or Japanese cuisine.
- Ability to speak English or Japanese.
- Willingness to travel and undergo training in Japan to enhance culinary and management skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Creativity in menu planning and a passion for delivering high-quality dishes.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
