- Description
As the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and optimisation of the mine operations, ensuring all plans are aligned with the company’s production targets and safety standards. The key responsibilities include:
- Developing short, medium, and long-term mine plans to optimise production.
- Ensuring that all mine plans meet safety, environmental, and economic objectives.
- Monitoring and adjusting plans in response to operational needs and changes in conditions.
- Collaborating with the geology, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment.
- Overseeing the implementation of mine planning software and other technologies to enhance productivity.
- Managing and mentoring junior mine planning staff, providing guidance and support for their career growth.

- Profile
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have:
- A degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in mine planning, with a significant portion of that experience in nickel or other base metal operations.
- Proficiency in mine planning software such as Vulcan, Surpac, or similar.
- Strong understanding of open-pit mining methods and operations.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
