What You’ll Do:

  • We are looking for a Procurement Lead to join our team in Pomalaa, Indonesia.
  • Leads a team of procurement experts in various specialties assigned to ensure delivery of materials, supplies, equipment, and services to meet project requirements within budget and on schedule.
  • Liaises with the Project Manager and is the primary procurement interface between the Client, the project, and the supplier community.
  • Report to the Project Manager as a senior member of the project execution team. Work with engineering, planning, project controls, construction and quality management to ensure procurement is properly aligned with the expectations of the other groups in understanding and addressing the project requirements. Monitor and make changes as work progresses.
  • Manage the overall procurement activities in a project, including, purchasing, expediting, supplier surveillance and inspection, traffic and logistics, contract formation and administration.
  • Develop and implement the overall procurement procedures and plans. to include close out activities of project procurement and hand over of deliverables to the client at the end of the project.
  • Participates in the project risk assessment workshops and outlines the procurement related risks to the project. In collaboration with other project disciplines, prepares the project procurement plan to include appropriate mitigation for the risks. Amend and update the project procurement plan as required in changing circumstances.
  • Establish and maintain close relations and communication with the Customer to ensure procurement is being executed as the contract requires and Customer expects, while protecting the Company’s interests. Maintain and manage the procurement reporting to and from the Client.
  • Counsel, assist and direct subordinate managers in accomplishing the project procurement objectives. Identify, develop and implement training to enable staff to more efficiently and effectively perform assigned functions. Encourage and promote innovation in obtaining procurement objectives.
  • Establish a field procurement capability to support construction management, if applicable.

What You’ll Have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Procurement within the resources, construction and infrastructure sectors
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Procurement  Lead role
  • Proficient in the use of computers and commonly-used business software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English is required.
  • Pro-active, goal oriented with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer focus and able to consistently meet Worley and its clients needs.
