Job Description
- We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Engineering Department to lead our Engineering team in a fast-paced textile manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will oversee both the Electrical and Mechanical departments, ensuring smooth operations, continuous improvement, and compliance with safety and technical standards.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Electrical (High & Low Voltage) and Mechanical departments.
- Ensure optimal performance of machinery and equipment used in production processes.
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and safety teams to enhance efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure operational excellence.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives in line with Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of new equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Maintain and update technical documentation, including blueprints, schematics, and SOPs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics (required).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar engineering leadership role, preferably within the textile manufacturing sector.
- Hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of Dyeing Finishing, DTY, and POY processes.
- Strong background in Electrical Systems (High and Low Voltage) and Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with automated and semi-automated textile production systems.
