- Job Description
- To manage in Production Department in achieving Safety, Quality, Service, Waste, Cost-out and Productivity goals. Strong leadership to the team and managing the systems, equipment, people and materials according to the established policies, procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.
- You shall report directly to the Production Manager, liaise with other function to prepare & conduct the production process in order to deliver the output properly.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Develop and drive in Safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities.
- Establish plan to achieve targeted improvement by creating, reviewing and monitoring data or reports that show performance to KPI’s. (specifically safety, quality, waste, and productivity) as business plan and KPI’s.
- Monitor the production processes, product standards and advise of schedule adjustments as needed
- Maintain and develop the training of department personnel in proper work methods and ensuring these methods are being followed.
- Identifies internal processes within the department to utilize Continuous Improvement Tools and Techniques to reach the strategic objectives of the operation to accommodate and create increased demand/capacity
- Develop and maintain a work environment where employees are committed to safe work behavior.
- Ability to manage and insipre performance of production staff
- Manages and enforce shopfloor control according to approved protocols, regulation, and schedule.
- Ensures that the highest safety and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good leadership skills with 5+ years of prior experience as Production Supervisor in a manufacturing environment (packaging industries, Printing or FMCG is a plus)
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Experience in manufacturing management with process-oriented operations.
- Have a working understanding of Quality Management Systems.
- Experience in Continuous Improvement Methodology (eg IWS, TPM, 6 Sigma etc)
OTHERS:
- Leads and implements continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to train, develop and mentor direct reports and effectively manage the performance of individuals.
- Represents manufacturing during regulatory audit
