Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Identify new market opportunities and customer segments.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategy.
- Develop an operating budget for the sales division that meets business goals
- Team Leadership and Development
- Develop, train, and manage a high-performing sales team
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team and monitor progress.
- Provide coaching and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to maximize profit.
- Address client needs and resolve issues to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Sales Operations:
- Oversee daily sales operations and ensure efficient processes.
- Utilize CRM systems to track sales activities and performance metrics.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.
Marketing Collaboration:
- Work closely with the marketing team to align sales and marketing strategies.
- Contribute to the development of promotional materials and campaigns.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the retail distribution industry.
