Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of the retail shop, ensuring smooth functionality and exceptional service.
  • Ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and visually appealing in line with resort standards.
  • Manage store opening and closing procedures.

Customer Service:

  • Provide an outstanding shopping experience to guests by maintaining high service standards.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure availability of products.
  • Track and manage stock, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and quality control.
  • Conduct regular audits to monitor stock levels and product conditions.

Sales and Profitability:

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, attract more customers, and optimize profitability.
  • Analyze sales data, prepare regular performance reports, and suggest ways to improve sales and store performance.
  • Collaborate with marketing and other departments to promote the shop and integrate retail offerings with resort activities.

Staff Management:

  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate shop staff.
  • Provide continuous coaching, motivation, and feedback to ensure team effectiveness.
  • Organize staff schedules, ensuring optimal coverage during busy periods.

Financial Management:

  • Oversee daily cash handling procedures, including reconciliation and reporting.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with company policies.

Vendor Relations:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing and terms to maximize profitability.
  • Monitor product trends and adjust purchasing strategies as needed.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the retail environment.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the store.

Promotions and Events:

  • Coordinate in-store promotions, sales events, and special offers to drive customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the resort’s event management team to align the shop with broader resort activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage inventory, analyze sales data, and control costs.
  • Proficiency in retail management software (e.g., POS systems) and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
