Job Description
- As an Operation Manager (Project), you will manage the transportation network to ensure efficient and timely movement of packages and shipments. You will oversee the development and communication of master schedules, manage vendor relationships, and drive operational efficiency across air, ocean, and ground transport. This role is essential in maintaining the flow of shipments within DB Schenker’s service centers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing resource utilization.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations, including customer service, shipment schedules, and transportation resources.
- Develop and publish master schedules to optimize labor, materials, machines, and equipment.
- Liaise between air, ocean, and ground vendors, ensuring input into schedule development and resolving scheduling issues.
- Identify, hire, and manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating terms and monitoring vendor performance.
- Analyze vendor metrics to ensure performance objectives are met and implement necessary improvements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in freight forwarding or related industries.
- Proven experience in managing complex logistics operations and vendor relationships.
- Strong communication skills in both English and Indonesian.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and relevant technical systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complexity and cultivate innovation.
