- SKINTIFIC, a dynamic and rapidly growing beauty startup, is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Modern Trade Merchandiser Manager to join our offline sales team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the success of our brand by ensuring our products are merchandised effectively in retail spaces, maximizing visibility and enhancing customer engagement.
- As the MT Merchandiser Manager, you will oversee and refine our merchandising strategies, leading a team to ensure flawless execution across various retail environments. Your leadership and keen market insight will be essential in creating visually compelling displays, optimizing product placement, and staying ahead of market trends. You will also collaborate with internal and external partners to align merchandising efforts with product launches and promotional activities, making a significant impact on sales performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product visibility and sales in Modern Trade channels, ensuring alignment with brand goals and retail standards.
- Lead and manage a team of merchandisers, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure consistent and high-quality merchandising execution in all assigned retail outlets.
- Collaborate with the Key Account team to synchronize merchandising efforts with promotional campaigns, product launches, and in-store events, enhancing brand presence.
- Conduct regular store visits to evaluate merchandising effectiveness, gather market insights, and ensure planograms and visual guidelines are being followed.
- Plan and execute strategic assortment and New Product Development (NPD) distribution, tailoring product offerings to meet the specific needs of each retail account and ensuring strong market presence.
- Analyze sales performance and customer feedback to make informed, data-driven adjustments to merchandising strategies, optimizing product placement and maximizing sell-through.
- Oversee inventory management by monitoring stock levels, ensuring product availability, and minimizing out-of-stock situations in stores.
- Design and implement planograms that enhance product placement and improve the customer shopping experience, ensuring that displays are both visually appealing and functional.
- Cultivate strong relationships with retail partners, negotiating prime shelf space, promotional displays, and other opportunities to improve product placement and visibility.
- Monitor industry trends and competitors’ activities, keeping the team updated on new merchandising techniques and consumer preferences to stay ahead in a fast-evolving market.
- Lead recruitment efforts for new Merchandisers, ensuring timely placement of team members to meet business growth demands, while continuously improving team performance.
- Establish clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the merchandising team, setting measurable goals to track and drive individual and team success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in any major.
- At least 4 years of experience in Modern Trade merchandising or retail operations, ideally in the beauty, skincare, or FMCG industries.
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles and beauty/skincare market trends.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Experience managing teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with knowledge of merchandising software tools being an advantage.
