Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in operating processing machinery, including weathering, CTC, fermentation, drying and sorting of tea leaves.
- Monitor the tea production line to ensure products are being processed accurately and efficiently.
- Perform quality checks on finished tea products to ensure they meet company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including regular sanitation of equipment and surfaces.
- Help with inventory management by accurately counting and recording incoming raw materials and finished products.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve tea production targets and deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any issues or concerns that arise during the production of tea.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in food science and Postharvest technology, Production or any other relevant degree
- Over two (2) years’ experience in tea processing and value addition environment preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Only those who are experienced in the Tea Processing industry will be processed.
