Role Background and Purpose:

- Molycop Technology (MCT) is involved in minerals processing digital technology in the field of advanced sensors, process control, cloud data platform and process modelling technologies. We are further expanding these technologies by developing and acquiring various process optimisation solutions. Molycop’s dedication to innovation and its position as an industry frontrunner, through combining measurement, control, data visualization and analytics have resulted in solutions that have been implemented on many mines globally to deliver improvements in sustainability, throughput, recovery and efficiency.
- We provide advanced instrumentation, process control, IIoT and AI solutions to the minerals industry. We are seeking a motivated Instrumentation Engineer who wants to be part of a highly qualified and agile team and become a technical expert on online analysers and instrumentation.
- You will be involved in the installation, commissioning, support and continual improvements of advanced process analysers, as well as new developments and integrating the instrumentation with our other advanced technologies.
- You will be provided with the necessary training (able to travel to Perth, Australia, for 3-months training on commencement, is essential) both in the office and on the job. A fair amount of travel will be required to provide on-site services focussing on clients across SE Asia, balanced with office-based work in Cilegon. The role will have matrix reporting line to our Indonesia Sales Manager and MCT Gold Processing Manager based in Perth.
Role Accountabilities:
(including but not limited to)
- Leading Molycop Technology business reach by becoming an expert in all aspects of our analyzers and instruments hence able to conduct end-to-end installation, commissioning, testing, problem solving, repairing and maintenance of online analyzers, both on-site and remotely (office).
- Conduct visits at mineral processing plants, which are usually scheduled during weekdays, but might sometimes go over weekends or require you to be away 1 to 3 weeks at a time.
- Online monitoring of instruments via our IIoT platform.
- Write technical documents and reports, e.g. commissioning reports and conference papers.
- Opportunities to get involved in the development and improvement of our instruments.
- Client training and able to do technical-sales presentations.
Role Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering from reputable university (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Mechatronics would be an advantage)
- Proven work and industry experience (min 3-years mining, analytics, or other technical industry – including commissioning, servicing and troubleshooting experience would an advantage)
- Electronics / instrumentation experience (experience working with Allen Bradley technology is recommended)
- Excellent communication and collaboration spirit, both verbal and written, including delivering reports, data, and charts.
- Ability to find practical solutions for problems and work independently.
