Position Summary:

The General Manager of the Theme Park is responsible for overseeing all aspects of park operations, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for guests. This role includes strategic planning, staff management, budget oversight, and the development of marketing initiatives to promote the park. The General Manager will collaborate with various departments to enhance park performance and achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the theme park, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance efficiency.

Financial Oversight:

  • Prepare and manage the annual budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
  • Analyze financial reports and metrics to make informed business decisions.

Staff Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a diverse team of employees, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing staff development opportunities.

Guest Experience:

  • Ensure exceptional guest service by implementing programs that enhance visitor satisfaction.
  • Address guest feedback and complaints in a timely and effective manner.

Marketing and Promotions:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive attendance and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and events.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement safety training programs for staff.

Community Engagement:

  • Build relationships with local businesses and organizations to promote the park and foster community involvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in a management role, preferably within the theme park or hospitality industry.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and financial analysis.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on guest relations.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and standards relevant to theme parks.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
