Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- – Prepare Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimates for construction projects based on architectural and engineering drawings.
- – Analyze project specifications and drawings to accurately determine quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required.
- – Create and manage tender documents and proposals for project building processes.
- – Conduct cost analysis and comparison of subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and accuracy.
- – Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimating purposes.
- – Utilize AutoCAD software to assist in quantity take-offs and prepare detailed drawings and layouts as needed.
- – Develop and maintain databases of material and labor costs to support accurate estimating.
- – Provide input during project planning stages to optimize cost-efficiency and budget allocation.
- – Monitor and control project costs throughout the construction phase, identifying and addressing cost variations as necessary.
- – Monitor construction projects, site visit and report.
Required Skills:
- – Min. Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
- – Proficiency in creating Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and cost estimates for construction projects.
- – Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- – Ability to operate AutoCAD software for quantity take-offs and drawing preparation.
- – Minimum of 1 year of experience in estimating and quantity surveying roles within the construction industry.
- – Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- – Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry pricing trends.
- – Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
