- We are looking for a highly skilled IT Security to help safeguard our systems from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate will combine deep knowledge of IT security with strong coding abilities to proactively design, implement, and monitor security measures.
Job Overview:
The IT Security will be responsible for securing the company’s digital assets, developing security solutions, and responding to incidents. This role requires hands-on coding skills to develop scripts, security tools, and automation solutions. You will collaborate with development teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure the secure design and implementation of our systems. Experience in the payment industry or financial services is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain security measures to protect the company’s digital assets, networks, and systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure security is integrated into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Develop and maintain security tools, scripts, and automation solutions to enhance monitoring and threat detection.
- Conduct code reviews to identify and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities in applications and systems.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents, conducting forensic analysis when necessary.
- Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify weaknesses in the infrastructure and applications.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and local data protection laws.
- Implement and maintain secure coding practices and provide training to developers on security best practices.
- Develop and implement security policies, standards, and guidelines for system and application security.
- Manage security tools and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption tools.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation strategies.
- Participate in security audits, risk assessments, and incident response planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IT security, with a focus on secure coding and application security.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or similar).
- Familiarity with web application security standards, including OWASP, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and SIEM systems.
- Strong understanding of encryption, authentication, and secure communication protocols.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks such as PCI-DSS, GDPR, and ISO 27001.
- Knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and system hardening techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively to address security challenges.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, OSCP, or equivalent are a plus.
- Experience in the payment or financial services industry is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
