Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Attending Order Transfer Meeting (OTM) and participation in technical discussion with internal and external customers.
- Preparation of engineering schedule for the orders in discussion with India Team (Mechanical & Electrical) to follow Project & Product Master Schedule.
- Coordinating with Project Manager & OEG team for inputs/clarity required from customer/vendor for timely completion of Engineering activities such as Boiler Layout Drawing and P&ID Drawing.
- Review and release P&ID, GATP & Foundation drawing to Project Manager and OEG (for Product Order) or direct to Services Team as Customer contact person from Thermax with support from India Team.
- Releasing Mechanical Calculation for Pressure Part to QC with the support of India Team and support to response the comment if any from Third Party inspector as per Project or Product requirements
- Review Design Modification Request (DMR), Site Action Request (SAR) issued to Engineering and provide decision and closing the request within the required time.
- Attending factory Daily meeting and Weekly Dart meeting and closing concerns within 72 hrs with support of India Team.
- Supporting Construction and Commissioning Project team as well as production team on Shop Floor.
- Retrieve & releasing Site drawings and O&M manual to Service Team and ensure site engineer follows the latest revisions by continuously monitoring to Engineering Document Control who is responsible for updating
- Review/approval of vendor offers & drawings and preparation of engineering part catalogues for procurement action. The review is not limited to Mechanical part such as Control Valves; Pumps; Material and Electrical part as Instruments; Motor; Panel; Cable if they are meeting our specifications/part catalogues with support of India Team if it’s necessary.
- Knowledgeable such as Mechanical strength calculations of pressure parts as per IBR, EN, ASME standards and Electrical International Standards as IEC for Ingress Protection etc.
- Support Design Engineer for any engineering change control in ERP for Correction of Errors in design and drawing.
- Provide Support to Exim for Stuffing arrangements and Design Engineer to provide drawings.
- Provide support to Engineering Document Control to manage the Drawing & Document repository & maintain the revisions as well as copy, scan and store documents.
- Managing Engineering subordinate within PT TII engineering
Must Have Requirements:
- Min Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Industrial Boilers
- Proven experience in factory management (required)
- Experience in managing fabrication processes (preferred)
- Strong background in assembling production and site installation (preferred)
- Fluent in English (required)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to initiate and execute plans independently
- Ability to listen to subordinates and make independent judgments
- Can join as soon as possible
