Job Description
- Wood School Bali is seeking an In-House Educator with a background in Architecture to join our team. We are a progressive school that values the integration of sustainable building practices into our curriculum, with a focus on nature-based and eco-friendly construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach students the principles of eco-friendly architecture and sustainable building practices, focusing on the use of natural materials and energy-efficient designs.
- Guide students through practical, hands-on projects where they can learn to design and build structures that are in harmony with nature.
- Collaborate with other teachers to integrate architectural learning into interdisciplinary projects, combining creativity, science, and environmental stewardship.
- Lead workshops and seminars on sustainable design, biomimicry, and the importance of environmentally conscious building practices.
- Inspire students to think critically about the relationship between human spaces and the natural world.
- Assist in designing and constructing nature-based structures on campus, contributing to the school’s sustainability goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field, with a focus on sustainable or eco-friendly design (Master’s preferred).
- Experience in education or teaching, particularly in hands-on or project-based learning environments.
- Strong knowledge of sustainable building practices, natural materials, and environmentally responsible architectural design.
- Passion for fostering a deep connection between students and their environment through architecture.
- Ability to communicate complex architectural concepts in an engaging and accessible way to students.
- Commitment to the Neo-Humanism approach and the ability to incorporate its values into the design and teaching process.
