Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on electric vehicles, including diagnostics, inspections, and component replacements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and mechanical issues in EV systems, such as battery packs, electric motors, and wiring.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to identify and address more complex problems within EV systems.
- Ensure that all work is performed according to industry standards and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including diagnostics, repairs, and parts used.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in EV technology and repair methods.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide excellent customer service, clearly explaining repair work to clients when necessary.
- Assist in the training and development of junior technicians as needed.
Requirements:
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive repair preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive repair, with at least 1 year focused on electric vehicles.
- Proven track record of diagnosing and repairing electric vehicles or hybrid systems.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems, including batteries, charging systems, electric drivetrains, and high-voltage safety.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to EVs.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
