Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • a. Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • b. Analyze financial performance, including profitability, cash flow, and cost control.
  • c. Provide actionable insights to support decision-making by senior management.
  • 2. Financial Reporting
  • a. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • b. Monitor financial results and provide variance analysis between actuals and forecasts.
  • c. Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits and ensure accurate reporting.
  • 3. Cost Control and Inventory Management
  • a. Implement and monitor cost control measures across production and retail operations.
  • b. Oversee inventory valuation methods, ensuring proper accounting of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • c. Conduct regular cost variance analysis between budgeted and actual production costs.
  • 4. Cash Flow Management
  • a. Monitor cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity for daily operations and strategic investments.
  • b. Manage working capital efficiently by optimizing accounts receivable, payable, and inventory turnover.
  • c. Liaise with banks and financial institutions to manage loans, credit facilities, and investment opportunities.
  • 5. Internal Controls and Risk Management
  • a. Establish strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and minimize financial risk (e.g., fraud, theft).
  • b. Ensure compliance with tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and internal policies.
  • c. Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend actions to mitigate financial risks.
  • 6. Strategic Financial Leadership
  • a. Provide financial insights to the executive team for strategic decision-making on expansion, investments, or new projects.
  • b. Lead financial feasibility studies for new product lines or market entry.
  • c. Participate in strategic business planning, mergers, acquisitions, or joint ventures.
  • 7. ERP and Financial Systems Management
  • a. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems for manufacturing and retail operations.
  • b. Ensure accurate financial data integration across manufacturing, supply chain, and retail sales systems.
  • c. Train finance teams to effectively use financial management tools and software.
  • 8. Team Leadership & Development
  • a. Manage and mentor the finance team, ensuring skill development and growth.
  • b. Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures across the company.
  • c. Coordinate with other departments (e.g., production, sales, procurement) to optimize financial performance and ensure alignment of objectives.
  • Qualifications
  • • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related (essential)
  • • 5 years of accounting work experience (essential).
  • • English speaking & writing (essential)
  • • Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
  • • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • • Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math.
  • • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • • Excellent report writing, communication.
  • • Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages.
