- Horizon Construction Indonesia is a subsidiary of Horizon Construction Development (CDHORIZON), the largest heavy equipment rental company established in 2011 in Shanghai, China. We’ve just started up in the Indonesian market in the middle of 2023 and are currently actively hiring excellent talents to join our team!
- Role Description
This is a full-time, Legal Manager (Mandarin Speaker) role in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role will be responsible for:
- Develop practical and innovative ways to meet the Company’s needs and keep the Company thriving.
- Daily legal affairs, consulting, drafting, and/or participating in the formulation, review, and revision of a variety of NDAs, corporate, and commercial agreements, and strategic deals.
- Participating in the negotiation and signing of contracts of the company, supervising the performance of various contracts, and being able to lead or participate in litigation or abnormal disposal independently.
- Provide legal professional support for the company’s various businesses, participate in the compliance review of the company’s new products and new businesses, and identify, evaluate, and control legal and compliance risks.
- Draft, translate, and review business contracts (English, Indonesian, and/or Mandarin Chinese versions).
- Communicate and collaborate with the company’s external law firm.
- Qualifications
- A bachelor’s Degree or above, Law or Legal studies, Master’s Degree would be an advantage.
- Proven solid experience as in-house legal counsel or experienced lawyers in reputable law firms with 4-5 years of experience.
- Excellent written and spoken Mandarin and English skills.
- Good understanding of Indonesian and international law, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Possess strong logical thinking ability, learning ability, strong communication ability, initiative, and execution ability to minimize legal risks for the company.
- Excellent collaboration ability with different stakeholders within and outside the company.
- Demonstrate a keen ability to issue-spot sensitive legal and business concerns, including a strong sense of when to escalate such matters to internal partners, and proactively propose solutions.
- A highly approachable, collegial, and collaborative approach, aiming to build bridges and balance needs across a rapidly changing organization and able to empathize through differences of view and values of others.
- Strong leadership, organizational, negotiation, and project management skills.
- Having a PERADI or Advokat license.
