Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Supervise all technical aspects of the facility, including audiovisual equipment, lighting, sound systems, and IT infrastructure.
- Responsible for ensuring all technical systems function properly and meet the needs of clients and guests.
- Coordinate with appointed vendors and contractors for maintenance and equipment upgrades, and manage the technical staff team.
- Involved in budgeting and forecasting for technical services, and developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of technical systems within the convention center.
- Work alongside the Sales & Marketing and Operations divisions to ensure all events run according to agreements and deliver the best results, achieving the highest customer satisfaction.
- Coordinate with the Finance & Accounting team, especially Legal and Permitting, to ensure safety, permits, and event administration are fulfilled before the event.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the General Manager that support service standards, progress, and the maintenance of company assets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, advanced degrees are preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical services or related fields.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in project management and budgeting.
- Know industry best practices and regulations.
- Ability to develop and implement technical strategies and plans.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
