Qualifications:

  • Minimum D3/D4 in Nauticals/Ports/Sailing
  • Minimum 5 years experience in shipping field
  • Have a Sertificate of Navigation
  • Fluent in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing)
  • Experienced in the field of ship documents and permits
  • Mastering international and national maritime regulations
  • Mastering port permits
  • Able to work individual or team
  • Willing to be placed in North Maluku-East Halmahera
  • Job Description:
  • Carry out loading and unloading activities at the port according to the predetermined layout and plan, organize and monitor the receipt, delivery, storage and distribution of all goods received at the port
  • Cooperate with PFSO and Security work units and local port organizations.
  • Make contact and monitor the arrival of ships
  • Ensure that the dock for the ship is available
  • Arrange guides and tugboats if necessary
  • Prepare necessary ship documents (export & import) and documents for customs and port authorities
  • Convey instructions to and from the ship owner
  • Make daily contact with the ship to handle any obstacles encountered in the loading or unloading process.
  • Record and report and document daily loading/unloading progress to the ship owner
  • Assist the master (loading & unloading) in liaising with local authorities and port authorities
  • Responsible for the safety of workers and equipment.
  • Provide the right equipment to ensure safe transportation during loading and unloading of all materials
  • Check and monitor the flow of complete documents for export, import, customs, immigration, trade, insurance, also make reports and letters from/to the port office and to other related work units and archive them properly
  • Coordinate with related work units, both internal and external, in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals and targets.
  • Create monthly reports on activities within the shipping work unit.
  • Document all permits and regulations relating to port activities.
  • Create SOPs and Work Instructions for each activity and carry them out as stated therein as well as possible.
  • Resolve any problems and differences through deliberation both internally and externally.
