Job Description
- We are excited to offer interns a unique opportunity to join UI Research Laboratory. By working closely with highly specialized researchers from Korea, you will be involved in pioneering research that positions Indonesia at the forefront of the advanced bio field. Our focus areas include the characterization of stem cells and biological samples, the development of therapeutics using gene-editing technology, and the development of alternative animal testing methods using organoids. This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to expand your career into various fields such as research, medicine, and drug development using key technologies in the advanced bio field.
- The internship duration can range to 6 months, depending on your preference. Based on your performance, there may be opportunities for conversion to a full-time position at the UI Research Laboratory or for an internship at Daewoong Pharmaceutical’s research center in South Korea.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree holders, as well as students currently enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral programs, are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with no prior experience or with at least one year of relevant work experience are encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is required.
- Graduates from faculties of pharmacy, biology, or related fields are preferred.
Candidates with experience in stem cell culture are preferred, and the following experience in each technical field would be highly beneficial:
1. Stem Cells:
Experience in cell characterization or clinical sample analysis
2. Gene Editing:
Experience with gene editing using CRISPR/Cas9 (or similar) technology
3. Organoids:
Experience in 3D stem cell culture
- Strong ability to comprehend verbal and written instructions in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
- Excellent communication skills, quick learning abilities, and a strong team player mindset.
- Possesses strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to be based at UI Depok
